The question of whether chess qualifies as a sport sparks strong opinions. While some view chess as simply a game, others argue it meets the criteria for being classified as a sport. Those in favor highlight its strategic depth and mental challenges, while other emphasize the lack of physical exertion make it as a game. In this post, we'll explore the ongoing debate surrounding chess board status as a sport. Is it a sport? Yes, chess is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as a sport. Over 100 countries recognize Chess as a sport as well. Surprisingly, the UK is one of the countries not recognizing chess as a Sport. The reason behind that it intense mental prowess and strategic thinking, similar to physical sports. While it lacks physical activity, but foster the competition nature. Its global tournaments, like the World Chess Championship, mirror traditional sporting events in intensity and prestige.   Below are some points that chess is sport 1. Chess demands
